The Autoethnography Concerning Overcoming of the Maternal Psychological Control - Based on Food Expressive Arts Theraphy -

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to understand the researcher¡¯s experience of maternal psychological control, and how she overcame the control via Food Expressive Art Therapy. The researcher collected and analyzed interview, autoethnography and food arts, achieved following results via consequential confesso-emotional writing. First, remarkable correspondence was found between the researcher¡¯s experience and precedent researches. Secondly, the researcher could retrospect her times of adolescence in terms of biography, in which she strived to recover from emotional challenge and to restore interpersonal relationships. Thirdly, in the process of Food Expressive Arts Therapy, the suppressed emotions were expressed in food arts, and through dialogued with the food arts, she experienced complete self-therapy. The recovery process was observed mainly focusing on inside psychology. As Psychological control can trigger challenges in various relational aspects, those aspects should be considered also.
